April 1, 1903 Polk City Savings opened for business with Peter McKinnon as Cashier and major shareholder.

1910 A.F. Miller joined the bank as Assistant Cashier.

1914 A.F. Miller named Cashier to replace Peter McKinnon who resigned due to ill health.

1920s A.F. and his brother Elmer purchased Peter McKinnon's controlling interest in the bank. 1948 W.C. Miller joined the bank.

1950 W.C. Miller named Cashier.

1963 A.F. Miller passed away; W.C. Miller named President; his wife Timmy Miller joined the bank.

December 16, 1966 Bank robbed at gunpoint; bandit escaped with $1,053 that was recovered.

1971 Robert J. Miller joined the bank.

1972 New building in Polk City opened for business.

November 1983 Bank featured in Wall Street Journal article for electronic bank capabilities (ATMs).

1985 Robert Miller named President and CEO; W.C. Miller named Chairman of the Board; Timmy Miller named Executive Vice President.

1993 Bank Assets topped $18 Million

April 1996 Name changed from Polk City Savings Bank to Polk County Bank.

Late 1996 Broke ground for new facility in Johnston, Iowa.

1997 Mary, Robert Miller's wife, joined the bank.

October 1997 Tom, 4th generation Miller, joined the bank.

December 1997 Moved into the new Johnston facility.

1998 Ended with record growth and $48 Million total assets.

1999 New web site allowed customers 24-hour access.

1999 Ended with total assets over $58 Million.

2000 New addition to Johnston facility

2000 Robert J. and Mary Miller named Johnston's "Business People of the Year."

March 2001 New addition in Johnston completed.

2001 Ended with total assets over $84 Million.

September 2002 Banks assets totaled $90 Million.

2003 Celebrated 100 years of success.

October 2006 Opened the new Urbandale, IA, location.

2006 Online Business Banking products are introduced.

2007 Ended with total assets of $170 Million.

2008 Robert J. Miller named Chairman and CEO.

2008 Tom Miller, son of Robert J. Miller and Mary Miller, named President.
